Policies

Cancellation:

If you need to cancel your reservation, call BHL right away as well as a third-party site if applicable. Guests may receive a full refund for their reservation if a cancellation notice is provided at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time. For reservations ranging within 72 hours of federal holidays, 7 days' notice is required prior to the scheduled check-in time. 

Quiet Hours:

Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10pm - 7am. Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7.

Parking:

No parking in the street or yard. Parking is only permitted in the driveway and designated parking spaces. This includes trailers. 

Trash:

Place all trash in the Big Bear Disposal issued trash receptacles located on the property. Do not store trash outside. If staying at Cabin Ponderosa, all trash needs to be taken to one of the City's local trash sites (41970 Garstin Dr or 39690 Big Bear Blvd). 

Thermostat:

Do not raise the heating thermostat more than 5 degrees at a time. Otherwise, the heater will shut down and the time to reach set temperatures will be delayed.

Pets:

We only allow service pets. When leaving your vacation rental, take your pet with you and keep them on leash so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors.

Firewood:

We do not allow firewood from elsewhere to be used in the cabins for the sake of preventing insects and plant disease transport. The bundles we sell are self-cut and pre-packaged.

Destruction of Objects and Premises:

Occupants of cabins are responsible for any damage to the property during their stay (both interior or exterior to the cabin) and should report any damage. In the case of found damages, occupants are subject to being charged, as the redelivery of the premises would not be in as good condition as they were originally provided.
